Register to Vote

Register to vote today and make your voice heard!  You can register to vote and change your party affiliation:

• In Person – By visiting the Ontario County Board of Elections at 74 Ontario Street in Canandaigua
• By Mail – By completing and returning the New York State Voter Registration Form to the Ontario County Board of Elections
• Online – By visiting the Online Voter Registration Portal on the New York State Board of Elections website

Ways to Vote

There are numerous ways you can vote and have your ballot counted in the Town of Canandaigua.  You can vote:

• Early In Person – By visiting the Ontario County Board of Elections at 74 Ontario Street in Canandaigua during the 10 days before the election
  
• Early By Mail – By completing and returning the New York State Early Mail Ballot Application to the Ontario County Board of Elections
  
• Absentee – By completing and returning the New York State Absentee Ballot Application to the Ontario County Board of Elections
  
• On Election Day – by visiting your assigned polling location on the day of the election and filling out a paper ballot

The deadline to request Early By Mail or Absentee mail-in ballot for the 2025 General Election is October 25, 2025.

All mail ballots must be postmarked on or before November 4th.
