Register to vote today and make your voice heard!  You can register to vote and change your party affiliation:

Ways to Vote

There are numerous ways you can vote and have your ballot counted in the Town of Canandaigua.  You can vote:

  • Early In Person – By visiting the Ontario County Board of Elections at 74 Ontario Street in Canandaigua during the 10 days before the election
  • Early By Mail – By completing and returning the New York State Early Mail Ballot Application to the Ontario County Board of Elections
  • Absentee – By completing and returning the New York State Absentee Ballot Application to the Ontario County Board of Elections
  • On Election Day – by visiting your assigned polling location on the day of the election and filling out a paper ballot

The deadline to request Early By Mail or Absentee mail-in ballot for the 2025 General Election is October 25, 2025.

All mail ballots must be postmarked on or before November 4th.
