Our Endorsed Candidates

RE-ELECT   Town of Canandaigua Supervisor

Jared Simpson

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I am a lifelong resident of the town where I live with my wife Kellie and our youngest son Ammon who is a freshman at the Academy. Three of our four children graduated from Canandaigua Academy. Two currently attend BYU in Provo, UT and one is living out there just for fun. I spent 25 years in Canandaigua as a Middle School history teacher, and had almost 27 years in public education before I set that aside to focus on local government. Kellie is currently an Interventionist in the Canandaigua Elementary School.

It has been my honor to serve the residents of the Town of Canandaigua as Town Supervisor since taking office in 2022, and as Chairman of The Ontario County Board of Supervisors since being appointed in 2025. Thank you for putting your trust in me! When I ran in 2022 I promised to focus on 3 simple goals for our community, to preserve our resources, protect our residents, and promote our community. Over the past four years I have led the charge to expand the size of Onanda Park Uplands, preserving more space for public enjoyment. As co-Chair of the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Council I have championed the creation of numerous water quality projects improving the water filtration of hundreds of acres near the lake. I have promoted public safety by facilitating the installation of brand new lighting along 332, by working with NYSDOT for improved safety at the Cooley Road / 5&20 intersection, and by deciding to move forward with vital safety improvements to North Road. Lastly, I have promoted increased transparency by revamping the town Website, introducing the MY TOC mobile app, and by establishing a brand new committee, the Citizens Advisory Panel, a citizen led group charged with promoting the town and our goals. I would appreciate your support on election day as I look to continue the great work that we have started.
